A conversation; What really differentiates Telness Tech from other vendors?
A question we encounter, all too often, but understandably so - when talking to potential partners who are evaluating a new BSS/OSS platform.
"What differentiates Telness Tech from other BSS/OSS vendors?"
We had a long conversation on the topic and figured it would be interesting to share with the industry.
Most often this discussion on what differs us happens when the client is evaluating what we refer to as the "best of breed" approach. Typically the client are running on a legacy BSS platform of some sort, usually a pure billing solution, with additional modules such as admin portals, purchase flows and cloud PBXs etc. added on top.
For this reason the client is out searching for the best supplier of each and every module. The problem with this is that even though each module might seem good separately, it doesn't mean that it will work seamlessly together - spoiler alert, it won't work.
We know for a fact, because the story behind Telness Tech is that we tried to stitch together a bunch of separate systems in our own MVNO, Telness back in 2016.
Resulting in us eventually developing a pure one-stop-shop BSS/OSS of our own. And this BSS/OSS, is our fully automated digital telco platform.
We've wandered in the "best of breed" desert with a bunch of disjointed systems and lived to tell the tale. So you don't have to.
With us to tell the tale is Sara Rasmussen, CCO at Telness Tech together with Head of Marketing and Communications, Sebastian Stecki.
A conversation on differentiation, turned interview, between Sara and Sebastian;
Sebastian: Sara. Let's start with a common question you often face: How does Telness Tech differentiate itself from other players in the BSS/OSS industry?
Sara: Absolutely. When it comes to differentiation, it's essential to look beyond the surface. One key aspect is our origin; Telness Tech started as an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) ourselves. This firsthand experience gives us unique insights into the challenges of working in fragmented systems.
Sebastian: That's an interesting point. How has this MVNO origin influenced Telness Tech's approach?
Sara: Well, it's allowed us to empathize with our clients in a way that goes beyond theoretical understanding. We've been in their shoes, navigating the complexities of disjointed systems. This understanding is invaluable when it comes to addressing the intricacies of our clients' operational needs.
Sebastian: Your emphasis on full flexibility in MVNO value propositions is intriguing. Could you elaborate on that?
Sara: Certainly. We understand that one size doesn't fit all in the telecom industry. Telness Tech stands out by providing our clients with full flexibility in crafting their MVNO value propositions. Whether they are targeting B2C or B2B markets, we ensure that our solutions support diverse business models, fostering differentiation in a competitive landscape.
Sebastian: That's a powerful approach to customization. Another point you highlighted is automation being at the core of Telness Tech. How does this commitment to automation benefit your clients?
Sara: Full Automation is key to reducing operational overhead and enhancing efficiency. From automated provisioning to fulfillment, we have integrated these processes into our core functionalities. This not only streamlines operations but also empowers our clients to adapt swiftly to evolving market demands.
Sebastian: Scalable pricing models are often crucial for businesses. How does Telness Tech address this?
Sara: Our commitment is reflected in our scalable pricing model. We operate on a SaaS model where our success is directly tied to our clients' success. This ensures a symbiotic relationship – we only thrive if our clients thrive. Additionally, continuous product updates are part of our commitment, ensuring our clients stay ahead in a dynamic market.
Sebastian: Customer satisfaction seems to be a focal point for Telness Tech. Almost religious even. Or I mean, having 4.99 out of 5.00 on Trustpilot is pretty crazy when it comes to Telcos, and that's what our MVNO using our system has. Could you shed some light on how we prioritise user experience?
Sara Rasmussen: Absolutely. We've placed the user at the center of our design philosophy from day one. Our dedication to the highest customer happiness scores is a testament to this commitment. We believe that a satisfied user is not only a loyal customer but also a brand advocate. This focus contributes to our proven short Time to Market (TTM) and solidifies our position as a customer-centric BSS/OSS vendor.
Sebastian: It's clear that Telness Tech is not just about features but a holistic approach to customer success. Before we wrap up, any final thoughts?
Sara: Certainly. While features like continuous platform updates, full omni-channel end-user experience, and our cloud-native approach are essential, I consider them hygiene factors. What truly sets us apart is our understanding of the industry from the inside out and our unwavering commitment to empowering our clients for sustained success.
Sebastian: So to summarise, and perhaps brag a bit, but what you are saying is that MVNOs that are running on an end to end, automated and fully cloud based platform will out perform their competitors in terms of customer acquisition and happiness. While those stuck dealing with legacy systems that requires a high touch, are going to lose?
Sara: They will lose, 100% of the time. Especially given that our Fully Automated solution is cheaper than the legacy ones as well. So it's not even a sacrifice.
Sebastian: Thank you, Sara, for sharing these insights into Telness Tech's unique approach. It's clear that the devil is indeed in the details, and Telness Tech is navigating those details, with extreme confidence at that!
